Description
The so-called "Schalenblende" is a sought species varietal from Segen Gottes Mine and here we have one of these fine combinations of Sphalerite, Wurtzite, Galena and minor Pyrite. This is a really interesting and showy, sliced and polished slab, from a nodule of these banded species from this classic German locale - Wiesloch, near Heidelberg. The mine was closed in 1953 and good specimens from here are meanwhile rare and desired.
