Description
Although these specimens used to be relatively common on the mineral market, I have not come across a Schelklinger Calcite twin recently. So I am happy to be able to add one to our auction. A delicately honey-colored, sharp, translucent gemmy twin that measures 2.2 cm, and is perched on a bed of scalenohedral to prismatic Calcite crystals. The pristine twin shows off a top resinous luster. The specimen hails from the limestone quarries west of the Swabian city of Ulm.
