Description
Fan-shaped deep green clusters of Pseudomalachite perched on typical whitish Quartz matrix. This specimen is from the TYPE LOCALITY of Pseudomalachite, the Virneberg Mine an ancient Copper mine south southeast of Cologne on the banks of the river Rhine, which was known since Roman times and on an off worked from 1611 until 1872. Local collectors report that finds of various species from the dumps are still possible.
