Description
This is a specimen with extraordinarily clear, deep green Fluorite cubes, many of them beautifully twinned from the Rogerley Mine in County Durham in the UK. The sharp and lustrous crystals are so clear that you can see the matrix through. Some of them have a cuboid habit, and some crystals have selected faces with striations. Not surprisingly for Rogerley specimens, it has daylight fluorescence and extreme fluorescence under long-wave ultraviolet light. The center of the specimen is pristine, and only the periphery shows a few imperfections.
