Description
A massive chunk of Rose Quartz is nothing to write home about, unless … it is a classic German piece from the now extinct Hühnerkobel near the town of Zwiesel in the Bavarian Forest. A small Quartz Quarry in a phosphate pegmatite, abandoned in 1924 and since backfilled and turned into a nature reserve and you probably already guesses it, collecting is prohibited
A specimen with a distinctively pink color and with few brownish spots, probably from Iron Hyrdoxides, and a great vitreous luster.
… and doesn’t Rose Quartz ward off evil spirits????
