Description
A classic specimen of burnt orange-brown, typically barrel shaped crystals of Campylite richly covering the display face of the piece. They are embedded but still well exposed in typical black matrix. Campylite is the barrel-shaped variety of Mimetite and this specimen is from the type locality for the species: the Dry Gill Mine of Cumbria. The crystals and clusters are showing a fine resinous luster, a deep color and only very minor edge wear on some spots on the periphery. A great, aesthetic specimen in super condition!
