Description
You may recognize this specimen from a previous auction. Unfortunately, the highest bidder bailed, and here it is again.
A cabinet specimen of light green "precious" Talc on matrix from an abandoned quarry in the Central Alps, hosted in Antigorite-Serpentinite with numerous mineralized fissures and clefts. The foliated mass of Talc shows its characteristic greasy, pearly luster. Considering the low Mohs hardness of 1 for Talc, it is a surprise that these specimens still exist. A classic piece with a nice contrast that is hard to find.
