Description
Here we have a very rich and relatively old-time specimen, loaded with pale tan, fibrous Strunzite crystals and tiny, glassy, yolk yellow Laueite crystals. Strunzite and Laueite are rare manganese iron phosphates and this is a fine, representative specimen,- and Hagendorf South is the TYPE LOCALITY for both species. This kind of material is meanwhile hard to come by, due to the mine was defunct in 1984 and is nowadays completely flooded.
