Description
Here we have a superb small miniature sized specimen with a well formed and sharp, light green Fluorite octahedron nicely perched atop scalenohedral Calcite crystals. The Fluorite is complete all around and the association with the creamy Calcite features fine contrast and aesthetics. This is classic form and material from the "Fluorite-heyday" of Artenberg Quarry near Steinach in Black Forest. In these days, the late 1960s and 1970s, the quarry worked in those areas with the Fluorite-bearing pockets. Still in the 1980s they started mining in another area and instantly the time of good Fluorite finds was over. Consequently good Fluorite specimens from here are still history,- and they are very desired of course.
