Description
This is a classic cabinet sized specimen of burnt orange, partly intergrown but also isolated, typically barrel shaped crystals of Campylite richly scattered over the display face of the piece. Campylite is the, still mentioned barrel-shaped variety of Mimetite and here we have the specimen from the "type locality", the Dry Gill Mine of Cumbria. The crystals and clusters are showing a fine luster, a good colour and only very minor edge wear. An impressive, large, great and aesthetic specimen in super condition,- and it comes with a high quality lucite custom base for display.
