Description
This is a classic specimen of burnt orange-brown, intergrown but still exposed, typically barrel shaped crystals of Campylite, contrastful perched on the black display face of the piece. Campylite is the, still mentioned, barrel-shaped variety of Mimetite and here we have the specimen from the "type locality", the Dry Gill Mine of Cumbria. The crystals and clusters are showing a fine luster, a good colour and only very minor edge wear, just at the periphery. A great mini with excellent overall aesthetics.
