Almost 40 years ago I visited the old mines in Wildschapbachtal ( Wildschapbach Valley) the first time and since then it was always a challenge to find good pieces of Malachite there. And this is a real good one,- and NOT from the neighboring Herrensegen Mine, where good pieces were more common. It is from the Georg Mine in Hirschbach Valley. It features intense forest green botryoids of Malachite richly perched on slightly Limonite coated brownish Quartz crystals. This is a superb and colourful Black Forest locality piece but anyway suitable for high international standards. Considering the locale, this is a KILLER PIECE all the way.
