Description
Here we have a superb specimen with a very lustrous and well formed trio of "skyscrapers" as so called "nail-head" Calcite as an aesthetic piece from the well known Hungarian locale of Gyöngyösoroszi. The crystals here are super sharp, excellent terminated and partly gemmy. Definitely a pristine and unusually fine specimen for this locality, now long-defunct with these typical but desired prismatic crystals of high luster and great quality to over 4,5 cm, of "English Quality." Relatively common in the 1970s and 1980s but pretty quick disappeared from the mineral shows and almost impossible to come by nowadays. From the collection of Viennese collector Dr. N. Pesl.
