Description
A beautiful, jet-black cluster of botryoidal Limonite that almost completely drapes a core rock matrix. This is likely a very old specimen, and comes from the long defunct locale of Ameise (Aunt) Mine in Siegerland, Germany. It is, for a black mineral, really attractive. The piece is almost complete on the display face with just a few breaks at the periphery. As little bonus, you can see wonderful but slight iridescent colours. A superb German oldtimer in splendent condition.
