Description

This is an exceptionally colorful specimen of turquoise-green spherical Pseudomalachite clusters of almost 0.5 cm in diameter scattered on botryoidal Chalcedony. The Pseudomalchite is coated by a second generation of Chalcedony, which gives the species its unusually light color. A beautiful specimen with a great color contrast from the TYPELOCALITY for the species, the historic Virneberg Copper mine that was abandoned in 1872. Locally, the Pseudomalachite from the mine was called "Ehlit", which is now listed as synonym for Pseudomalachite
