Description

A jet-black Gahnite octahedron perched on a Calcite cleave from the famous Franklin Mine in New Jersey. Gahnite is a relatively rare Zinc-Aluminum oxide of the Spinel group and the present crystal, measuring just under 1 cm, has a high greasy luster and perfectly sharp edges. Considering that most Gahnite crystals are micros, you quickly realize what an incredibly great piece this is.
