Description

This is a very rich and colorful specimen of Kleinite on a brecciated andesitic pyroclastic matrix. It was apparently recovered before its closure in 1990. Abundant, relatively well-formed Kleinite crystals up to 2mm abundantly cover a narrow vug on the specimen. The color is deep egg yolk yellow, and the luster is adamantine. I my opinion, the McDermitt Mine in Nevada is THE locality for the best specimen of this very rare Mercury Halide. And here is your chance to get your hands on this very excellent and rich specimen.
