Description
A super, small cabinet sized specimen of burnt-orange, bladed Realgar-included Baryte from the famous Baia Sprie Mine of Maramureș, Romania. These came out in the 1980s and are exceptionally rare - I have seen just a few for sale. This Baryte specimen is a rich red-orange colour, thanks to inclusions of Realgar. The Baryte is comprised of intergrown, tabular to bladed, lustrous crystals exhibiting good architectural form. This stunning material is exceeding sought and consequently hard to come by.
