Description
Here we have a fine single crystal of Bastnäsite-(Ce), well defined, sharp and well terminated from the well known locale for the species, Zagi Mt. of Peshawar District, Pakistan. This Bastnäsite is lustrous and translucent and exhibits a rich brownish orange colour, more intense when backlit. Bastnäsite is a rare earth hexagonal species and usually occurs in this barrel shaped crystals at all of its localities. A super thumbnail sized specimen in splendend condition.
