Description

This is in my opinion, the best Vesuvianite specimen of this current update. A relatively large piece richly studded with extremely lustrous blocky crystals measuring just over 1 cm. They have gemmy, root beer-colored flat terminations and are translucent in transmitted light. Excellent longitudinal striations on the short prism faces and perfect crystal formation complete the overall impression of this specimen. A TOP specimen from the finds made between 2009 and 2010, where only a handful of fissures were discovered. Minimal contacts, mainly on the periphery, in no way detract from the great overall aesthetics of this top piece.
