Description

Here is another superb and relatively large specimen from the clefts near the village of Alchuri. The short prismatic Vesuvianite crystals measure to 1.5 cm. They are excellently striated on the prism faces, and display smooth, flat terminations. A faint translucency on the edges shows a gemmy root beer color. Imperfections are hardly noticeable to the unaided eye. Almost fawn brown contacts sections with recrystallized Vesuvianite micro crystals are typical for this find. This is another very aesthetic TOP specimen from the finds between 2009 and 2010 from the mountains near Alchuri in the Shigar District of Pakistan!
