Description
Crystals of Jeremejevite reach their zenith in the Erongo Mountain area of Namibia, and no later find has eclipsed these for gemminess and luster. This slender crystal is highly lustrous and gemmy with a good light blue color. These were literally found in a few small pockets at a dig at the mile marker column in the middle of nowhere in Swakopmund. Surviving specimens are almost unheard of on the market today. These do have a fundamentally different luster and look, in person, from other later finds of the same species in the Erongo mountains.
