Description

Look at this exceptional Calcite specimen from the Morrocan El Hammam deposit. A divergent group of prismatic Calcite crystals to 4.1 m tall with a simple habit with very well defined forms: a prism and three terminal faces of a flat rhombohedron (aka Nail Head termination). Reddish Hematite inclusions near the base of the prisms and sparkling golden Pyrite crystals create a nice color contrast. This specimen looks very much like the pieces from a one time find in the El Hamman area in 2008.
