Description
An exciting specimen with light green, short prismatic, hexagonal Pyromorphite crystals to 4 mm on typical sandstone matrix. The crystals have a vitreous luster and are well terminated. These specimens were found in a 1954 abandoned ancient Lead mine (“Beim Stollen”), which worked a sedimentary deposit in Triassic (Keuper) sandstones. The locality is on the grounds of a military training area where collecting is prohibited.
