Description
This is a very nice, although not entirely perfect Fluorite specimen from the Boltsburn Mine in Weardale, UK. Fluorite from the mine is famous for its incredible transparency and gemminess. And this specimen is no exception. It is richly covered with those exact crystals up to 1.4 cm on edge. The color is a mostly delicate violet, some with oxide yellow edges. The crystals are water-clear but daylight fluorescence turns them purple when exposed to the sun.
