Description
A specimen with excellent and relatively large, sharp Chalcopyrite crystals up to 0.7 cm on typical Barite matrix from the Clara Mine, Black Forest, Germany. The black color of the crystals and their beautiful metallic luster is due to thin Covellite coating. This kind of specimen was occasionally found in the 1970s and 1980s, when collecting on the large dump was still possible. Nowadays, such excellent pieces are rarely found, let alone offered for sale.
