Description
Here is a British classic from the 1970s: a great cluster of lead-gray Galena crystals up to almost 2.5 cm with small black Sphalerite crystals as matrix. Galena displays a great metallic luster while the translucent brownish red Sphalerite has an adamantine luster. The display side is incredibly pristine. The Smallcleugh Mine in the North Pennine Orefield is not only known to British collectors for it excellent specimens of Galena, Sphalerite, Ankerite, and Calcite.
