Description
A stunning thumber and among the best of this size ever went through my fingers. Another superb 3-dimensional piece with sharp roman-sword-shaped crystals of rare sulfide Semseyite, perched on black metallic Sphalerite matrix. The crystals are excellent defined and super terminated. Semseyite is an uncommon lead, antimony sulfosalt, seldom found in really well-formed crystals, but these are super-formed, and the specimen comes from the type locality, the Baia Sprie Mine of Maramureș. This great piece is definitely incomparable with the known and usual stuff, with the more stout and compact clusters which disappear from the market as well. This crystals are more separated and elegant. Only minor imperfection and anyway a superb thumbnail.
