Description
This is a rich specimen of grass green, glassy masses of the rare Nickel carbonate Zaratite from the old abandoned Lord Brassey Nickel Mine in north-western Tasmania. By the way, the mine is type locality for the two rare nickel minerals Haezelwoodite and Helleryite which are both related to Zaratite. The mine dump is rather picked-over and Nickel minerals are now very sparse.
