Description

The mineral species Variscite is rare from this well-known Arkansas locality that is noted for Wavellite. However this specimen proofs that Variscite does exist at the Mauldin Mountain Quarries. A bed of deep grass-green, sparkling microcrystals line a sculptural vug in blocky Novaculite matrix on this colorful, excellent and uncommon specimen. Super color and contrast!
