Description
A great specimen with grass-green hexagonal Pyromorphite crystals on a Quartz matrix. This is an absolute classic from the historic "Grube Heilige Dreifaltigkeit" (Holy Trinity Mine) with first records dating back to 1478. Lead was mined until 1830, followed by what we today would call specimen mining, when the Freiberg Mining Academy recovered Pyromorphite specimens for their mineral dealership (Freiberger Mineralienniederlage). The mine finally closed in 1990.
