Description
What looks like a Morion Quartz is actually Gaudefroyite from the N’Chwaning Mine in the Kalahari Manganese Fields, South Africa. Hexagonal black-gray prismatic crystals to 1.3 cm with a dull vitreous luster on a little bit of matrix. This habit is the most coveted of the species. A top specimen despite being "just" thumbnail-sized.
