Description
A cluster of tabular, elongated Celestine crystals over 4 cm, super gemmy, and water clear and with a vitreous luster. Several of the crystals show excellent terminations. This specimen represents the classic Konrad material that has become fairly rare. The Iron ore mine Konrad is praised as the locality for the most beautiful German Celestine crystals. The deposit was discovered in 1933 during drilling for oil, and has been producing Iron ore from 1965 until 1976.
