Description
A very rich and massive layer of silvery sparkling Zinkenite from the type locality: Graf Jost-Christian-Mine in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. The Antimony deposit was found ca. 1700, and in 1741 commenced until 1864, when the mine was shut down. It is possible that this specimen is historic, as such rich pieces are rare and not readily available on the collectors’ market.
