Description
Purpurite is a quite rare Manganese Phosphate, which, you guessed it, is named for its color. This particular specimen is from a Phosphate pegmatite on Farm Sandamap, where a Tin mine that was worked on and off since 1920 until it was abandoned many years ago. Iridescent Purpurite covers both sides of the specimen of the rich specimen.
