Description
A fine, euhedral Magnetite octahedron measuring ca. 3.1 cm on edge. It is steel gray, has a great metallic luster, and slightly rounded edges. Several mines work the Aggeneys base-metal deposits, and according to mindat, the deposits “are located on the farms Aggeneys, Gams and Zuurwater, the nearest town is Pofadder (I didn´t make these names up!) 60 km to the east and the Orange River is 35 km to the north.” This is another 360° specimen which is not very common on the market.
