Description
This is a very nice miniature specimen of Edingtonite, a rare orthorhombic Barium silicate, a member of the Zeolite group. The crystals with their vitreous luster are prismatic, and whitish-gray. They are bedecked on the sculptural matrix of blocky, lustrous, yellowish Calcite rhombohedrons from this well-known Canadian locality of the Ice River Alkaline Complex, Golden Mining Division, southwestern British Columbia, close to the border with Alberta. This is undoubtedly a very rich, showy and highly representative combination material from this deposit.
