Description
Over the years I have seen many Dravite specimens from the pegmatites of Yinnietharra in the outbacks of Western Australia. These were mostly larger and more massive, and devoid of matrix. But I have never come across such an elegant and aesthetic matrix specimen, even if it is just a miniature specimen. Dark chocolate brown and extremely well-defined, sharp Dravite crystals with top trigonal terminations and exceptionally high vitreous luster with only minor imperfection. The matrix consists of foliated Muscovite.
