Description
This is one of the better Papiol Fluorite specimens that I know of: Its abundance of crystals and their lack of imperfections on the display side, the rich light green color. Clusters of slightly frosted deep green octahedrons cover typical matrix. These green Fluorites from the Berta Mine or Berta Quarry are considered “second generation Fluorite” from the hydrothermal low-temperature Fluor-Lead-Zinc veins of the deposit. A beautiful piece with excellent aesthetics, and a great representation for the locality a few kilometers outside of Barcelona, which was abandoned in 2003.
