Description
A specimen with numerous emerald-green, Demantoid crystals (the green variety of Andradite) with a variety of isometric crystal faces densely cover vugs in a matrix. Needless to say that the crystals are sharp with a resinous luster, gemmy and translucent. The above mentioned matrix is typical for the locality, the British Canadian Mine, which is one of the largest, now inactive, open pit Asbestos mines in Mégantic County, Québec, Canada. A colorful piece indeed.
