Description

This is a wonderful specimen of Turquoise from the locality Kingman in northwest Arizona. Kingman Turquoise has always been sought after for its color and stability, not just by local collectors but by collectors from all over the world. This specimen is a natural specimen, not dyed, stabilized or polished. The color is so amazingly rich and blue, not so soft bluish green that is often associated with Turquoise. The Kingman Turquoise deposits were discovered by Native Americans long before they were chased of their lands by settler. Commercial mining began in the 1880s with the Kingman Mine being in operation until today.
