Super locality piece with metallic Galena cuboctahedrons with a mirror-metallic luster, associated with with brown, iron-deficient Sphalerite on am matrix typical for the hydrothermal Lead-Zinc deposit. The Sphalerite crystals translucent gemmy. A very aesthetic piece in very fresh condition. The Lüderich Mine, closed in 1978, is located about. 8 km east of the 2,000-year-old city of Cologne. It is now a golf course with minimal chances of picking up massive Galena or Sphalerite of the ground. A classic specimen formerly owned by Dr. Schoenfelder.
