Description
This is a typical specimen of the classic German deposit of the Wolf Mine near Herdorf, Siegerland. Vugs in a limonitic matrix are filled with with warty Copper clusters. Perched on top of the clusters are partially twinned Copper crystals, some of which are completely transformed into grass-green Malachite. This type of specimen is well known for this Mine, which has in operation from 1860 until 1962.
