Description
This beautiful Baryte specimen impresses with its gemminess and clarity of the well crystallized, bladed intergrown Baryte crystals. The slightly oxide-tinted crystals have sharp beveled edges, exceedingly good luster and countless crystal faces. The small cabinet specimen shows only very few imperfections. A very aesthetic, classic piece from the famous Clarashall Mine near Baumholder in Rhineland-Palatinate. It was abandoned in 1974, the dumps were graded and the adit now lies on a military training ground. Consequently, new, good specimens like this one are rare and desired.
