Description
A typical Münsterland Strontianite specimen from the Alwine Mine in Vorhelm near the town of Münster. This Strontianite mine has been worked for just eleven years from 1880 to 1891, and has provided over its brief existence excellent specimens of this species. This is a very good and typical specimen from here with creamy white acicular crystals that cover the entire matrix. The mine has closed over 130 years ago and nothing is left, not even dumps.
