Description
Native Gold flakes, visible to the naked eye, interspersed in a Quartz matrix from a pretty rare Austrian locality. The Quartz veins of Zwickenberg in Carinthia have been mined on and off since Roman times. And despite the fact that the deposit was worked on a larger scale in the very early 20th century, specimens appear hardly ever on the market and extremely difficult to get. A great gold specimen and a great locality piece.
