Description

Two interesting forms of Calcite on one specimen. Both generations impress by their silky luster and perfect crystallization. A cluster of bright brick-red Calcite scalenohedrons, partially twinned, and sharp are the matrix for a second generation Calcite. These crystals are sharp, translucent, and contorted scalenohedrons. The reddish color of the first generation of Calcite might well be caused by copper. After all, the Xikuangshan Mine is in the copper ore field of Dongchuan. The bi-color specimen is exceedingly aesthetic!
