Description
Km 3 is one of the most famous localities within the Lavrion district. It is known for the world´s best Annabergite specimens, with bright green crystals. You don´t believe it? Just look at this specimen with clusters of sharp and gemmy crystal to 2 mm. The crystals are deep grass-green and transparent, perched in a Calcite vug. Chances for new finds of good quality are slim because of the tenacious host rock and the lack of good ore zones. This is a superb specimen with great color and aesthetics. Well what more did you expect from a mining district with 672 valid minerals, and type locality for 25 valid minerals?
