Description
This is one weird Quartz specimen. A 3.8 cm tall, sharp, almost undamaged crystals with a smaller "side car" on matrix. One side of the crystal is a ferruginous Quartz, the other side is Amethyst. One can clearly see the section of the ferruginous Quatyz that is colored by Hematite inclusions and the purple Amethyst section. Specimens like this one from the Orange River in South Africa generally command pretty high prices.
