Description
While red Calcite is fairly well known from Mexican localities, Moroccan red Calcite is more on the rare side. So here is your chance to add to your collection: Glassy Calcite crystals with almost all possible crystal forms of calcite are combined on this rich specimen. It is generally accepted that the red color stems from finely dispersed hematite inclusions. This is a very aesthetic small cabinet-sized specimen from a locality that is famous for its deep red vanadinite.
